Deceased Name: LOUIS W. EISENBERG Louis W. Eisenberg, 93, of Golden Valley, formerly of East
Ninth Street in Duluth died Sunday, Jan. 18, 1998, in Minnesota Veterans Home
of natural causes. He was born Nov. 20, 1904, in Brooklyn, N.Y. He was a 1922
graduate of Hibbing High School. He was a private in the U.S. Marine Corps
during World War II and received an honorable discharge. Louis was owner and
operator of several Twin Ports bars and restaurants, most recently the Uptown
Bar and Grill in Superior, also Jack's Cafe and the Marine Club, both in
Duluth; and The Keg in Two Harbors. He was a former member of B'nai B'rith, AZA Jewish
Fellowship Club, Temple Israel and American Legion Post 28. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Eva
(Lent) Eisenberg. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and
Marion Eisenberg of Golden Valley; brothers Charles of Sun City, Ariz., and
Irving (Rose) of Duluth and San Francisco; grandsons Dr. David and Bruce of
Dallas, Texas, and Tim of Seattle; a granddaughter, Linda of Golden Valley;
six great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law Jenny and Jack Bergal of
Duluth, Lily and Phil Klasky of Tulsa, Okla., and Betty Eisenberg Covina of
California. Services: 1 p.m. Wednesday in Temple Israel. Burial in
